Saturday 1st September

AFC Hornchurch  1 – 1  Carshalton Athletic |  Bridge Avenue  |  Att: 211

The Urchins were denied a victory late on by Carshalton. George Purcell’s spot-kick four minutes before the interval put the hosts ahead. Athletic responded seven minutes from time thanks to Jerson Dos Santos’s strike though both sides had to settle for a point. Hornchurch are unbeaten with five draws in six matches while Athletic have only tasted defeat once in five matches.

Bishop’s Stortford   0 – 1  Folkestone Invicta   | Woodside Park | Att: 323

Invicta continued their decent start to the season with a narrow win at Woodside Park. Kane Rowland struck eight minutes in to eventually win the match and Stortford have won one of their opening six outings.

Bognor Regis Town  3 – 1  Kingstonian   | Nyewood Lane  | Att: 539

Bognor continued their fine start to the season with victory over the K’s at Nyewood Lane. Dan Smith opened the scoring for the hosts on the quarter-hour though Kingstonian levelled on the stroke of half-time through Elliott Buchanan. Town powered to victory after the break thanks to Smith’s second of the afternoon on 66 minutes and a late third by Bradley Lethbridge.Bognor are unbeaten in their six matches thus far while the K’s suffered their fourth loss thus far this term.

Burgess Hill Town   2 – 4  Whitehawk   | Leylands Park |  Att: 428

The Hawks overcame a spirited comeback from the Hillians to keep their very decent form going. Brannon O’Neill [6′] broke the deadlock before Andre McCollin [35′] and Ben Pope [42′] swung the pendulum back to the hosts. That lead didn’t last until half-time as Lucas Rodrigues levelled for the visitors right on the 45 minute mark.

The match turned again in the first third of the second half thanks to goals from James Fraser [52′] and Henry Muggeridge [59′] that gave Whitehawk the victory. The Hillians are still yet to win in the Bostik Premier this term.

Corinthian-Casuals  1 – 1   Brightlingsea Regent   | King’s George’s Field | Att: 168

Regent held Casuals at King George’s Field. Jack Strange put the hosts ahead on the half-hour though substitute Matthew Baxter  [47′] restored parity for the visitors. Both sides haven’t got the ‘winning feeling’ that often so far this term.

Leatherhead   1 – 3   Harlow Town    |  Fetcham Grove  | Att: 324

Harlow finally achieved their first win of the season with a fine win at Fetcham Grove. Things started well for the Tanners as Robert Cullen put them ahead on 14 minutes. Though Town responded strongly before the break through strikes from Robbie Martin [21′] and Laurence Vaughan [35′]. Emile Acquah’s third goal for the visitors two minutes after half-time secured the points. Leatherhead fell to their third loss of the season here.

Margate    0 – 1   Lewes  | Hartsdown Park (3G) | Att: 479

Lewes continued their decent form with a good win at Hartsdown Park. James Hammond got the visitors’ goal on 24 minutes as they grabbed their second win of the season while Margate have lost three of their first six matches.

Merstham  3 – 1   Potters Bar Town  | Moatside | Att: 133

Merstham ended the Scholars’ unbeaten start with a good win at Moatside. Dernell Wynter had put the visitors ahead nine minutes before the break though the hosts responded through Tom Kavanagh’s strike  [59′] before winning the match late on thanks to Tom Bird [88′] and Kershney Samuels [90′] goals, their second win of the new term.

Tonbridge Angels   2 – 1   Wingate & Finchley  | Longmead | Att: 632

Finally in Bostik Prem, Tonbridge continued their stand-out start to the season with victory over Wingate at Longmead. Tom Parkinson nodded Angels ahead on 33 minutes  before Sonny Miles doubled the lead five minutes later. Wingate broke through the hosts’ defence to pull one back through Tommy Tejan-Sie on the stroke of half-time – the first goal that Tonbridge have conceded in the league this season. Wingate have had three defeats in their opening six.

RoUnd-up: Bostik Premier Division (Sat 25th Aug) [BLP 26.8.18]

Hello and welcome to my round-up of Bostik Premier action this weekend. How did your side do?

Friday 24th August

Kingstonian  0 – 1  Dorking Wanderers  | King George’s Field | Att: 322

In the start of the weekend’s action, Dorking narrowly won at King’s George’s Field. Matt Briggs got the only goal on 61 minutes to assist Marc White’s side to their second win of the season. The K’s have lost three of their first four matches so far.

Saturday 25th August

AFC Hornchurch  1 – 1   Bognor Regis Town | Bridge Avenue  |  Att: 231

The Urchins recovered to claim another point in their journey back in the division. Daniel Smith gave Bognor the lead eight minutes before half-time. Sean Marks [49′] levelled things and the stalemate prevailed, which preserves both clubs’ unbeaten record.

 

Bishops Stortford   1 – 1   Leatherhead    | Woodside Park | Att: 260

Stortford recovered from going behind to claim a point. Shaun Okojie continued his fine start to the season by putting the Tanners ahead on 43 minutes. Jake Cass restored parity late on with a goal on debut though the hosts here are still searching for a first win of the season.

 

Burgess Hill Town   1 – 6  Enfield Town     | Leylands Park |  Att: 423

Enfield Town smashed the Hillians at Leylands Park. The visitors were in a commanding position at half-time thanks to Liam Hope’s opener on the quarter-hour plus goals from Matt Johnson [28′] and Sam Youngs [34′]. The rout continued after the break as Johnson got his second on 50 minutes. Pat Harding pulled one back for the demoralised hosts with 15 minutes left Youngs [85′] matched Johnson’s efforts before Ryan Blackman added a late sixth to secure Enfield’s third win of the season. Burgess Hill have only a point from four games.

 

Folkestone Invicta  3 – 2   Harlow Town   | Cheriton Road | Att: 374

This encounter had twists & turns in abundance. Invicta led on 22 minutes through Ade Yusuff though Harlow levelled 12 minutes later through Jason Raad. After the re-start, Invicta re-took the lead through Kieron McCann [54′] and extended it thanks to Jerald Aboagye’s strike [63′]. Yusuff was dismissed for dissent and Harlow made it a nervy end through Emile Acquah’s goal [90′]. Folkestone held on for their third win of the season, Harlow are still winless thus far this term.

Margate   0 – 2   Tonbridge Angels  | Hartsdown Park | Att: 648

The Angels continued their unbeaten start to the season with victory at Margate. Goals from Tom Beere [28′] and Alex Read [48′] did the business for the visitors, who have won three of their four matches and interestingly have not conceded a goal as yet. The Gate fell to their second defeat this term.

Merstham   1 – 0   Brightlingsea Regent  | Moatside | Att: 106

The hosts edged this encounter thanks to Michael Abnett’s goal on 63 minutes. The Moatsiders will be relieved to get their first win of the new season here while Regent suffered their third loss in four games.

Whitehawk  2 – 3  Wingate & Finchley  | Enclosed Ground  | Att: 277

The Hawks started well but ultimately fell to defeat at the Enclosed Ground. Jason Williams [28′] struck for the hosts though Wingate turned the tide through a brace of Marc Weatherstone penalties [37′ & 45′]. Marc Charles-Smith [83′] saw the visitors home with their third before Luke Emberson halved the deficit a minute from time though Whitehawk suffered their first loss in a match which saw Wingate’s first win of the new term.

Saturday 18th August

Bognor Regis Town   3 – 0   Bishop’s Stortford  | Nyewood Lane  |  Att: 482

A display of late firepower heralded another win for Bognor at Nyewood Lane. Brad Lethbridge’s goal [72′] saw the hosts on their way before a brace from Dan Smith [76′ & pen 82′] completed the day’s work to maintain Town’s unbeaten start to the season. By contrast, Stortford are looking for their first triumph this term.

 

Brightlingsea Regent  0 – 3   Margate    | North Road | Att: 206

Margate’s first-half display was enough to give them all three points at North Road. Joe Taylor broke the stalemate after 14 minutes. Frannie Collin weighed in heavily with a brace before the half was out, first from the spot on 31 minutes and then ten minutes afterward to give Mike Sandmann’s side the win.

 

Carshalton Athletic   1 – 1    Kingstonian   | War Memorial Sports Ground |  Att: 419

The K’s fought back to claim their first point of the season at the War Memorial Sports Ground. Carshalton led through Ricky Korboa’s strike [34′] though just after the break, Louis Theophanous [48′] levelled as Leigh Dynan’s side took a share of the spoils here.

 

Corinthian-Casuals  1 – 1  Merstham   | King George’s Field | Att: 201

Something had to give in this match as both sides had been beaten in their first two league matches. The Moatsiders led on 18 minutes through Reece Hall’s strike though Casuals responded from the penalty spot two minutes shy of the hour mark through substitute Dannny Cunningham. Both sides took their first point of the season as it ended honours-even.

Dorking Wanderers   1 – 2     Lewes  | Meadowbank |   Att: 453

Lewes came away with the points in this battle at Dorking’s new Meadowbank ground. Luke Blewden put the promoted side ahead six minutes before the break. Omarr Lawson doubled the Rooks’ lead on 78 minutes to almost see his side home. Jason Prior bagged another goal two minutes later though the visitors claimed their first victory of the new season here.

Enfield Town  2 – 2  AFC Hornchurch   | Queen Elizabeth II Stadium |  Att: 443

The Urchins produced a stirring comeback to deny Enfield Town the win. Things were looking sweet for Town as Taofiq Olomowewe [18′] and Liam Hope [53′] goals put them in a good position. Though the ‘Never say die’ attitude of Jimmy MacFarlane’s men was on display again as Brad Warner pulled one back with a expert free-kick 11 minutes from time. Sean Marks completed the turnaround on the cusp of full-time as both sides also remain unbeaten.

Harlow Town   0 – 2      Worthing             |  The Harlow Arena  | Att: 220

The visitors withstood the challenge from ten-man Harlow to obtain the win at the Harlow Arena. Goals from Ricky Aguiar [25′] and David Ajiboye [90’+2] did the job to maintain the Woodside outfit’s 100% winning start to the season. Paul Rodgers was the man dismissed for the hosts.

 

Leatherhead  2 – 1  Haringey Borough   | Fetchams Grove  | Att: 335

The Tanners overcame Borough at Fetchams Grove to attain their first win of the season. Strikes from Shaun Okojie [18′] and Travis Gregory [31′] saw player-manager Nikki Bull’s team lead by two at the interval. Haringey halved that deficit two minutes into the second period through hot-shot Joel Nouble though Leatherhead held firm to get the points, Haringey are seeking their first win of the new season.

 

Potters Bar Town  1 – 1  Whitehawk    | Pakex Stadium  | Att: 174

The Scholars continued their promising start to the new campaign as they held Whitehawk here. Steve Brown put Potters Bar ahead on 34 minutes though that lead only lasted five minutes before Harry Shooman restored parity for the visitors. The hosts have taken seven points from their opening 3 matches while the Hawks have taken five from their three games.

 

Tonbridge Angels   1 – 0    Burgess Hill Town     | Longmead   | Att: 409

Tonbridge recorded a narrow win over over the Hillians at Longmead. Joe Turner grabbed the only goal on 26 minutes as Steve Mckimm’s team remain unbeaten. Burgess Hill will need to get that first win on the board soon.

Wingate & Finchley   0 – 3    Folkestone Invicta      | Summers Lane   | Att: 95

Invicta showed their capabilities with a good win at the newly-revamped Summers Lane. Johan ter Horst opened the scoring on ten minutes before second-half strikes from Adam Yusuff [50′] & Jack Evans [57′] completed the win and leave Wingate without a win in their opening three games.

Saturday 11th August

AFC Hornchurch  3 – 0  Leatherhead | Venue: Bridge Avenue | Att: 267

The Urchins provided returning boss Jimmy McFarlane and their fans with three valuable points in their return to Step 3. Goals from Bradley Warner [39′], Jay Porter [52′] & Sean Marks [64′] sent player-boss Nikki Bull’s Tanners to defeat in his first game in charge.

Bishop’s Stortford  1 – 1   Dorking Wanderers  | Att: 274

Dorking held Stortford in this, their first-ever meeting having led just three minutes in through new signing Jason Prior. Adam Flint’s side responded with 20 minutes left through forward Jamie Cureton.

Burgess Hill Town  0 – 1  Potters Bar Town  | Att: 383

The Scholars started their season superbly with a narrow win at Burgess Hill. Dernell Wynter got the only goal with ten minutes remaining here at Potters Bar look to consolidate their place in this division.

Folkestone Invicta  2 – 3  Enfield Town | Att: 449

Enfield came from behind to grab all three points. Kieron McCann gave Invicta the lead just seven minutes into the match before a Nat Blanks OG levelled things five minutes later. Ade Yussuf restored the hosts’ lead on 35 minutes before substitute Brandon Adam’s quick-fire brace [78′ & 79′] turned the course of this match to give Andy Leese’s side the win.

Haringey Borough  2 – 2    Bognor Regis Town | Venue: Coles Park | Att: 246

Haringey were held by Bognor in their opener at Coles Park. Bognor led a minute after the re-start through Jimmy Muitt before Joel Nouble restored parity four minutes later. Borough took the lead on 58 minutes through Karl Akinwande’s curler though that wasn’t the end of the scoring action, An OG [72′] secured the visitors a point.

Kingstonian  2 – 3  Brightlingsea Regent | Venue:  King’s George’s Field  | Att: 255

Regent started their season well with an excellent away win. Harvey Hodd’s brace [14′ & 24′] either side of Louie Theophanous’ strike [16′] gave the Essex side the advantage. Nine minutes into the second half, Billy Hunt made it 1 – 3 before substitute Muhammadu Faal’s late penalty halved the arrears.

Lewes 0 – 1  Carshalton Athletic | Venue: Dripping Pan  | Att: 613

Carshalton defeated Lewes at the Dripping Pan in a battle of two newly-promoted sides. The only goal came just shy of the hour thanks to Ola Sogbanmu’s effort.

Margate  5 – 2  Corinthian-Casuals | Venue: Hartsdown Park | Att: 510

The ‘Gate smashed past Casuals to start their season with a win. Baselle Aristride [11′] and Tom Wynter [19′] put the hosts ahead before a goal-laden first-half was completed by Alex Brown’s long-range brace [38′ & 43′] and Frannie Collin’s goal on the stroke of half-time.

Casuals grabbed two after the break thanks to Warren Mfula [69’] and Gil Carvalho’s late goal though the day belonged to the hosts.

 

Merstham  0 – 3  Tonbridge Angels | Venue: Moatside | Att: 209

Tonbridge grabbed the points at Moatside. Jared Small’s 15th-minute header set the tone as an OG [37′] & Alex Reed’s third four minutes after the re-start sealed a dominant display for the Angels.

Whitehawk  4 – 2  Harlow Town | Att: 300

Harlow’s season didn’t start well as they went down to newcomers Whitehawk. Goode put ‘Hawk ahead with four minutes on the clock before Lucas Rodrigues’ double [21′ & 33′] pretty much sealed the contest. The hosts grabbed a fourth through Marsh-Brown six minutes before the break, after Andre McCollin [42′] had pulled one back for the visitors. A second-half OG did little to improve Town’s chances of grabbing a point as the hosts won out.

Worthing  2 – 1  Wingate & Finchley  | Venue: Woodside | Att: 755

Worthing recovered from a goal down to attain the points at Woodside. Wingate led on 34 minutes thanks to Sean Cronin’s penalty though a brace from debutant Callum Kealy [39′ & 56′] turned the match on its head.

Bostik League Premier Division Round-up (7.10.17)

Hello & welcome to a round-up of the action in the Bostik League Premier Division here on my blog. Here’s a round-up of the action that transpired on Saturday 7th October on ‘Non-League Day’ followed by the updated Bostik Premier Division table. Enjoy.

Billericay Town  4  – 3    Hendon

Venue: New Lodge    |      Attendance: 1,988

Billericay edged Hendon in this top-two clash at New Lodge in front of nearly 2,000 fans. Hendon took the lead only three minutes in through Ashley Nathaniel-George’s strike though Ricky Modeste levelled for the hosts nine minutes later. Keagan Cole put the Greens ahead once again on 17 minutes though again the hosts quickly levelled as Adam Cunnington scored on 20 minutes. ‘Ricay finished the first half strongly as Billy BRicknell’s spot-kick [35’] and Cunnington’s second saw the hosts 4-2 ahead at the interval. Late on, Nathaniel-George grabbed his second to make it a nervy finish though Glenn Tamplin’s side held on to record their 8th straight league win.

Burgess Hill Town  0 – 5  Lowestoft Town

Venue: Leylands Park    |   Attendance: 479

Lowie had a very happy away-day at Leylands Park. Cruise Nyadzayo gave the visitors the lead on 14 minutes before Jake Reed’s hat-trick [35’,50’,57’] sealed the points for the Trawlerboys. Substitute Josh Greenleaf inflicted more pain on the Hillians with 17 minutes remaining as Lowie recorded their fourth win of the campaign.

Dulwich Hamlet    2 – 0     Needham Market

Venue: Champion Hill       |         Attendance: 2,417

Dulwich secured the win at Champion Hill in front of the highest crowd of the day in the Isthmian Premier. Nathan Ferguson gave the hosts the lead on 32 minutes before Nana Boakye-Yiadom doubled it a minute before the break. Dulwich held the Marketmen at bay after the break to record their fourth straight league win, in all four of those they haven’t a conceded a goal. Needham have only won one of their last five league matches.

Enfield Town   2 – 1     Margate

Venue: Queen Elizabeth II Stadium   |   Attendance: 509

Enfield held off Margate to claim the points at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium. Mickey Purcell put the hosts ahead after only a minute played, though a Darren Purse OG on 52 minutes restored parity for the Gate. Taylor McKenzie got the winner 12 minutes later to seal all three points for Andy Leese’s side, their fourth win of the season. Margate’s five-game undefeated league streak ended here.

Harrow Borough  2 – 0   Kingstonian

Venue: Earlsmead        |        Attendance: 227

Two first-half goals assisted Harrow to victory over ten-man Kingstonian at Earlsmead. Sam Page was dismissed on 33 minutes so the K’s had to play nearly an hour with a man short. To add to things, Reis Stanislaus’ spot-kick in the same minute gave the hosts the lead before two minutes later getting his second of the afternoon to hand the Reds their sixth win of the league season.

Leatherhead  2 – 1   Harlow Town

Venue: Feltcham Grove     |   Attendance: 406

Leatherhead fought back to seal the points at Feltcham Grove. Nigel Neite gave Harlow the lead on 32 minutes though ten minutes later, Jack Midson restored parity for Sammy Moore’s side. Twelve minutes into the second-half Reece Williams-Bowers got the eventual winner to give the Tanners their 5th win of the league campaign thus far.

Leiston    2 – 2    Staines Town

Venue: Victory Road               Attendance: 323

Leiston came from behind to hold Staines at Victory Road. Elliott Buchanan put the visitors ahead nine minutes in though Joe Jefford equalised five minutes later for the Blues. Buchanan struck again [58’] to give the Swans the lead for a second time though Jack Ainsley secured a point for the hosts with his leveller with 11 minutes to play and in doing so preserving the hosts’ unbeaten record so far this term.

Merstham  1  – 2  Dorking Wanderers

Venue: Moatside   |   Attendance: 271

Ten-man Dorking struck late to seal the points at Moatside. Jerome Beckles was dismissed after just 12 minutes so Dorking were on the back-foot somewhat. Ryan Hall then put the Moatsiders ahead ten minutes later. After the break, goals from Tom Tolfrey [61’] and Chris Boulter [82’] sealed the turnaround for the Wanderers and end the hosts’ five-match unbeaten run in the league.

Metropolitan Police  3 – 1   Folkestone Invicta

Venue: Imber Court       |       Attendance: 165

The Met recovered after an early setback to grab the win at Imber Court. Ian Draycott put Invicta ahead four minutes in though Jay Gasson levelled ten minutes later. After a break, a brace from Lloyd Macklin [pen 70’ & 76’] sealed the comeback for the hosts and secure their fourth win of the league season.

Thurrock  3 – 3  Brightlingsea Regent

Venue: Ship Lane   |   Attendance: 128

Thurrock got a creditable point in a real ‘ding-dong’ encounter at Ship Lane. Regent led on 18 minutes through Connor Hogan’s opener though Dennis Oli levelled things 11 minutes later. Robbie Rees struck two minutes after the break to put the R’s back ahead before Billy Hunt’s goal [56’] gave them a two-goal cushion. Late goals from Charlie Stimson [83’] and Lewwis Spence [90’] secured a point for Mark Stimson’s side, who have drawn three of their last five league matches now.

Tonbridge Angels   1 – 0     Wingate & Finchley 

Venue: Longmead  |   Attendance: 635

Angels secured the win, watched by a big crowd at Longmead. Alex Akrofi got the only goal on the hour to secure his side’s third league win in their last five league matches.

Tooting & Mitcham Utd  4 – 3   Worthing

Venue: Imperial Fields            Attendance:  265

Tooting edged this bottom-two clash at Imperial Fields. Tooting led on the quarter-hour through Chace O’Neill before Jared Rance levelled 13 minutes later. Worthing took the lead for the first time on 32 minutes as Alex Parsons struck and they led at half-time. Callum McNaughton restored parity for the hosts six minutes after the break before late goals from Omar Folkes [78’] and substitute Billy Dunn [82’] put them ahead though fellow substitute Isaac Newton’s goal a minute from time made it a nervy end for the Terrors. In any case, the hosts did secure their maiden win of the campaign here.

Bostik League Premier Division Round-up (23.9.17)

Hello & welcome to a round-up of the action in the Bostik League Premier Division here on my blog. Here’s a round-up of the action that transpired on Saturday 23rd September, followed by the updated table. Enjoy.

Bostik Premier Division

Billericay Town 1  – 0  Tooting & Mitcham Utd

Venue: New Lodge   |   Attendance: 1,104

Billericay struck at the death to secure another three points at New Lodge. The visitors were reduced to ten men on 64 minutes as Jordan Wilson was dismissed for two bookings. ‘Ricay were also a man light with 13 minutes remaining as Rob Swaine was given a straight red card. The hosts scraped the win though as Ricky Modeste’s goal in added time secured Town’s seventh straight league win. Tooting have yet to taste victory thus far this term.

Burgess Hill Town  0 – 1   Tonbridge Angels

Venue: The Green Elephant Stadium   |     Attendance: 462

Tonbridge edged Burgess Hill to claim the points. The only goal came from Alexander Akrofi on 71 minutes. Steve McKimm’s side held on to claim their third win of the season.

Dorking Wanderers  3 –  2  Brightlingsea Regent

Venue: London Road      |        Attendance: 223

Dorking held off a second-half comeback by Regent to claim the win at London Road. Dorking led on nine minutes as Dan Pearse put them ahead. A penalty from Billy Hunt levelled things on 32 minutes before James McShane put the hosts back ahead a minute later. Wanderers led 3-1 at the break as Tom Tolfrey struck a minute before half-time. Substitute Aaron Condon pulled one back with 15 minutes left. Dorking held on though to record their third win this term. Regent are now without a win in their last three league matches.

Dulwich Hamlet 4 – 0  Leatherhead

Venue: Champion Hill     |    Attendance: 1,752

Dulwich comfortably defeated the Tanners at Champion Hill. Muhammadu Faal gave Hamlet the lead four minutes in. Goals from Kenny Beaney (23’) and Faal’s second (43’) put the hosts clear at the interval. Nyren Clunis made the points safe with the fourth eight minutes after the break. This was Dulwich’s fourth win of the season, while being Leatherhead’s third loss of the campaign.

Folkestone Invicta   3 – 2   Hendon

Venue:  The Fullicks Stadium     |        Attendance: 457

Invicta recovered to get all three points at the Fullicks. A quick-fire brace from Niko Muir (47’ & 49’) gave Hendon the advantage. Adam Yusuff’s spot-kick on 51 minutes pulled one back for Folkestone before goals from Joshua Vincent (70’) & Joseph Taylor (84’) sealed the turn-around and gave Invicta their fourth win of the season. This was Hendon’s first loss in four league matches.

Kingstonian  6 – 0  Harlow Town

Venue: Feltcham Grove      |       Attendance: 223

The K’s smashed Harlow in a big win at Feltcham Grove. Kingstonian led 4-0 at the break thanks to goals from Tom Collins (21’), Tom Derry (32’), Toby Little (37’) and Lewis Taylor (45’). Craig Edwards’ side completed the scoring after the break thanks to Collins’ second on 62 minutes and Kane Haysman on 74 minutes. The K’s have now won three out of their last four league matches while the visitors have been defeated five times this season so far.

Leiston  3 – 0   Metropolitan Police

Venue: Victory Road       |        Attendance: 256

Leiston saw off the challenge of Met Police at Victory Road. Matt Blake put the Blues ahead on 29 minutes before Joe Marsden doubled the lead three minutes before the break. A late third by substitute Robert Eagle sealed Leiston’s fifth win this term.

Margate  1 – 1   Harrow Borough

Venue: Hartsdown Park     |        Attendance: 552

Margate were held by Harrow in front of a decent crowd at Hartsdown Park. Orlando Smith gave the hosts the lead on 59 minutes before Adam Richards levelled right on the 90 minute mark to claim a point for Boro. The Gate are now unbeaten in three league matches.

Needham Market  2 – 2   Enfield Town

Venue: Bloomfields      |     Attendance: 304

Needham had to come from behind to salvage a draw at Bloomfields. Luke Ingram put the hosts ahead five minutes before the break. A Darryl Coakley OG levelled on 52 minutes before Jack Higgs gave Enfield the lead with nine minutes to play. Needham restored parity late on through Dan Morphew’s spot-kick. The Marketmen haven’t won in four league matches now.

Staines Town    3 – 1   Lowestoft Town

Venue: Wheatsheaf Park    |       Attendance: 199

Staines came from behind to get the points at Wheatsheaf Park. Jacek Zielonka initially gave Lowie the lead nine minutes in. That lead lasted three minutes before Mohamed Bettamer levelled. Staines sealed the comeback with a brace from Jonathan Hippolyte (28’ & 57’), securing their fourth win of the campaign. Lowie have now lost four of their last five league matches.

Thurrock   1 – 1   Merstham

Venue: Ship Lane          Attendance: 116

Merstham fought back to claim a point at Ship Lane. Ex-pro Dennis Oli gave Mark Stimson’s side the lead three minutes into the match though Sahr Kabba pulled the visitors level on 28 minutes. The Fleet haven’t won in their last four league matches now while Merstham have drawn their last three matches.

Wingate & Finchley   1 – 0   Worthing

Venue: Summers Lane                      Attendance: 125

In-form Wingate edged struggling Worthing at Summers Lane. Rob Laney got the only goal five minutes before half-time to give the hosts their sixth straight league win of the season.
