Ten-man Brackley struck late to deny Billericay an outright place in the next round at the first time of asking. Aaron Williams put the Saints ahead after just two minutes and that lead stood at half-time. The same couldn’t be said for the hosts keeping their full complement of players on-the-pitch though as Alex Gudger was dismissed just before the interval. Billericay responded after the break and levelled through Adam Cunnington two minutes after the break. Substitute Louis Theophanous gave ‘Ricay the lead on 72 minutes though that lead only lasted four minutes before Adam Walker restored parity for the National League North side. During an extended amount of injury-time due to a serious injury to Hereford’s Preen, Gavin Hoyte was also sent off to end a not-so-momentous day for the National League Premier hosts though unsurprisingly the same cannot be said for the visitors who endured a nervy end to the match.
