Hello and welcome to this week’s Essex Olympian League round-up, as we take in the action from the Premier to Division Four results. How did your team get on this weekend?
EOFL Premier Division
In the top-tier, Hutton got the win in the highest-scoring match in the division with a 5 – 3 home victory over Canning Town. Strikes from Chris Rowlatt, Tom Price, Chris Skingley, Will Marlowe and Josh Bardouleau overturned Town’s goal-scorers in Patrick Damali, Matt Betts and Paul Henry.
Leigh Ramblers end the weekend in fifth after a Jamie Selby-Knight brace plus a goal from Joe Hunter saw them beat Great Baddow 3-1 at Belfairs Park. Buckhurst Hill narrowly won 1 – 0 at home to Sungate thanks to Suleyman Zuhdu’s first-half strike which sees them stay top by two points.
Kelvedon Hatch lead the chasing pack and they won 2 – 1 at home to Springfield, thanks chiefly to a double from Theo Ola. Anthony Pantaleo hit back for the Chelmsford-based side. Also, Old Southendian held Harold Wood Athletic 2 – 2 to grab a creditable point away from home.

EOFL Senior Div One
In Olympian Division One, Sean Green inspired Ongar Town’s 5 – 2 win at Frenford Reserves with a hat-trick while Ben Polley and Ross Carpenter also notching. Snaresbrook won 2 – 1 at home to Galleywood as Josh Woodcock and Harry Prince scored for the hosts, while Freddie Bartrum got one back for ‘Wood though ‘Brook still lead the division.
Ramsden Scotia are still the best of the rest thanks to a 1 – 0 win over Herongate Athletic. Ryan Leddra ‘came to the party again’ with the only goal in that one. Old Chelmsfordians went four points clear of Herongate in the drop zone by virtue of a 5 – 0 win over May & Baker E.C Reserves. A brace from Martin Mixture plus strikes by Joshua Lawrence, William King and Joe Kemp saw the hosts to a well-earned win.
EOFL Snr Div Two
In Senior Division Two, three matches took place. Firstly, Runwell Sports won 3 – 1 over Ryan at their Wadham Lodge 3G pitch. Strikes from Charlie Adams, Aaron Rix’s spot-kick and an OG helped Sports to fourth. Meanwhile, Rochford Town succumbed to a 2 – 0 home loss to Harold Wood Athletic Ressies. Perry Robinson and Chris Pope goals did the damage as Ath rose to the summit of D2.
Also, Toby defeated Beacon Hill Rovers 2 – 1 at home thanks to Des Gallen’s brace as Toby went second in the division.
EOFL Snr Div Three
In Senior Three, with most of the sides in Cup action, two matches took place. Laindon Orient rise to second spot following a 4 – 1 success over Academy Soccer. The hosts had goals from Sam Lake, Ryan Scougall, Adam Cole to thank plus an OG while Marc Porter-Brown got Academy’s sole strike.
Elsewhere, Wakering Sports defeated White Ensign’s Ressies 2 – 1.

Dagenham Utd 7 – 4 Leigh Ramblers Res
