It was another dramatic day of results in the Premier Division, as Basildon Town extended their lead at the summit to five points after winning an enthralling match at Leigh Ramblers 5 – 3. Marcus Bowers netted a fine treble for Town, with Rhys Fatt and Michael Onafuye also on target at Belfairs Park. Nearest challengers Ongar Town fell to a 2 – 1 loss at improving Shenfield AFC, with Billy Calder on target for AFC there. Meanwhile, Hutton are back up to third spot after an important 1 – 0 win at Sungate, with Brad Freeman netting again for Matt Singh’s side.

This blog is centred on all things Non-League Football, mainly Match Reports of matches I've seen (mainly Essex Senior League (ESL) but also other Leagues) though it also houses the regular round-up's of the ESL action plus the Essex Olympian League divisions regularly. It also has the odd post about the scary world that we're all in, talking from a Mental Health perspective. Thank you for reading.
