Essex & Suffolk Border League – Saturday 19th September
ESBL Premier Division
Hatfield Peverel picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 win away at Alresford Colne Rangers, Big 3 points for Hatfield which sees them climb to 14th while ACR drop to 7th place.
Dedham Old Boys made it 2 from 2 in the league with a 2-0 win away at Earls Colne, goals from Luke Oscar and Myles Went. Strong away win for the old boys which sees them move into 5th place while the defeat leaves Earls Colne in 11th place.
Tiptree Heath made it back to back wins with a 3-2 win away at Felixstowe & Walton United Reserves, goals from Jamie Chesney with a brace and one from Cameron Ward. The win sees Heath in 5th place while Felixstowe sit in 17th.
Gas Recreation made it 3 from 3 with a 5-2 win over Colne Athletic, goals from Callum Rogers with 4 and 1 from Asten Firkens. Big 3 points for the Gas especially after going down to 10 in the first half when Scott Hooper was shown a straight red. Gas stay top, Colne in 8th.
Great Bentley continued their good start to the season with a 4-0 win over Lawford Lads, goals from Jake Vaughan, Dale Brown (2) and Louie Olymbios. Big win for the bulldogs which puts them in 3rd place, Lawford suffer their first defeat of the season, they sit in 12th.
West Bergholt made it back to back wins with a 2-1 win over Barnston AFC, two goals from Liam Springett. A big 3 points, the win sees them sit in 4th. Barnston stay bottom!
White Notley continued their 100% start with a 5-2 win over Brantham Athletic Reserves, goals from Rory Bone, Kane Dobrowolski, Rob King, Josh Goodey and Ryan Scofield. Another big win for Notley which keeps them in 2nd place. Brantham in 16th.
ESBL Division One
Belle Vue Social went top of the table with 1-0 win over Stanway Pegasus Reserves, Bruce Poole with the only goal of the game on 9 minutes. Big 3 points for Belle, the win sees Pegasus drop to 7th.
Dunmow Town made it back to back wins with a 7-0 win over Boxted Lodgers, goals from Milos Vukasinovic who grabbed 4, and one each for Joe Skeels, Charlie Yexley & Gabriel Piorkowski. Strong win for Dunmow which sees them sit in 3rd place. Boxted stay bottom.
Silver End United got back to winning ways with a 1-0 away win at local rivals Cressing, Tom Johnson with the only goal of the game with a first half strike. The result puts Silver End in 8th, Cressing in 14th.
Gosfield United & Holland A shared the points in a 3-3 draw. Gosfield were 3-1 up through Josh Preston, Bobby Pike and Chris Hobster but Holland fought back and scored a last minute free kick to leave with a point. Gosfield in 9th, Holland in 12th.
Hedinghams United picked up a big 3 points against Shrub End United. Shrub were 1-0 up at the break through a Alex Curtis penalty but 2 second half goals from Harry Loe and Callum Tyler saw Hedingham pick up a big 2-1 win and their first win of the season! Hedingham in 11th, Shrub in 10th.
Mersea Island got back to winning ways with a 5-1 win over Stanway Rovers Reserves, goals from Dan Gibbons, Adam Passfield, James Rutter, Ethan Ward and Harrison Westbrook. Big 3 points for Mersea which sees them move up to 5th, while Rovers sit in 16th.
Tiptree Jobserve continued their unbeaten start with a 2-1 win at home to Coggeshall United Reserves. Big win for Jobserve against a good Coggeshall side, the result sees Jobserve sit in 2nd while Coggeshall sit in 13th.
ESBL Division Two
Stanway Athletic picked up their first win of the season with a 4-0 away win at Brantham Athletic A, goals from William Cursons (2) Issac Lewis and Daniel Crane. Excellent win for the lions which puts them in 8th place while Brantham stay in 15th place.
Brightlingsea Town picked up their first win as a new club with a 2-0 victory over Oyster. A Ricky Griggs brace was enough as Bsea came away with all 3 points. The result puts them in 10th while the O’s sit in 13th.
Lawford Lads Reserves also picked up their first win of the season with a 5-2 win away at Cavendish, goals from Fabrice Williams, Harry Parkes, James Lee and a brace from Daniel Edwards. Great win for Lawford which puts them in 5th, Dishmen in 4th.
Dedham Old Boys Reserves & Rowhedge shared the points at the Drift. A 0-0 draw. The result puts the Old Boys in 7th and Rowhedge in 11th who have drawn all their opening games!
Gas Recreation Reserves got back to winning ways with a 4-1 win over Harwich Rangers, goals from Charley Cook (2) and Jordan Hyams (2). Excellent result for the Gas which sees them move up to 3rd place, the defeat for Harwich keeps them bottom!
Great Bentley Reserves made it 2 from 2 with a 2-0 win over local rivals St Osyth. Big 3 points for Bentley, the win sees Bentley sit in 2nd place while St Osyth sit in 14th.
Harwich & Parkeston Reserves continued their unbeaten run with a 3-2 away win at Hatfield Peverel Reserves, goals from Daniel Roots and a brace from Rob Good. Good win for the shrimpers which keeps them top of the table. Hatfield in 12th.
Tollesbury & Tiptree Jobserve Reserves shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Sam Hume on target for the hosts who sit in 9th place while Jobserve Reserves sit in 6th place.
ESBL Division Three
Barnston Reserves picked up a big 3 points against Abbey Fields, Abbey Fields were 2-0 up at the break through Fred Pennick and Noah Harris but Barnston fought back in the second half and goals from Lee Jarvis Brown, Ryan Johnson and a brace from Kieran Ralph saw the hosts come out 4-2 winners. Barno go top, Abbey Fields in 14th.
Felsted Rovers AFC got back to winning ways with a 8-1 win over Hedinghams United Reserves, goals from Jake Buckland with a first half hat trick, Josh Burgess, Jordan Fossey, Josh Jones, Jack Stoneman and Luke Crosdale. Big win for Rovers who go into 4th place, United stay bottom.
Langham Lodgers picked up their first win of the season with a 4-2 win away at Flitch United Reserves, goals from Philip Stevenson (2), Daniel Stevens and Barry Sage. Good 3 points for Langham which sees them move into 13th, Flitch suffer their first defeat of the season, they sit in 9th.
University of Essex made it back to back wins with a 5-1 away win at Little Clacton. Little Clacton having a man sent off and a penalty awarded to Uni after 2 minutes saw Uni take advantage and goals from Adam Sanson (3) and Dan Rodgers and Kiah Froud saw them come away with a 5-1 win. Uni in 6th, Clacton in 11th.
Sporting Rebels continued their unbeaten start with a 5-2 win away at Oyster Reserves, Great away win for the Rebels which puts them in 8th place while back to back opening defeats for Oyster leaves them in 15th.
10 goal triller in Kirby as Thorpe Athletic ran out 6-4 winners against Ramsey & Mistley. A Bailey Barnard hat trick, brace from Matthew Gray and one from Kalon Harms saw Thorpe grab all 3 points. Chris Stratton scored all 4 for Ramsey. Thorpe in 3rd, Ramsey in 10th.
Kelvedon Social ran out 8-1 winners away at Tiptree Heath Reserves, goals from Sam Taylor who grabbed a hat trick, braces for Martin Young and Fagner Lima and one for Ross Catchpole. Great result for the Dons which puts them into 2nd place, Heath in 16th.
Colne Athletic Reserves made it back to back wins with a 2-0 away win at Wormingford Wanderers, goals from Joe Hawkins and Connor Hynes. Great win for Colne who sit in 7th place, Worms suffer their first defeat of the season, they sit in 5th.
ESBL Division Four
Bradfield Rovers & Boxted Lodgers Reserves shared the points yesterday afternoon in a 0-0 draw. The result sees Bradfield sit in 10th and Lodgers in 11th.
Dovercourt Rovers picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 home win over New Field. Good first win for Dovercourt which sees them sit in 13th, New Field in 11th.
FC Clacton A picked up their first 3 points of the season with a 2-1 win over Great Bentley A, goals from James Law and Jake Perry saw the Seasiders come away with 3 points. Clacton in 8th, Bentley in 5th.
Frinton & Walton continued their brilliant start to the season with a 7-0 win over Tollesbury Reserves, goals from Adam Duce, Ben Hartley, Louie Marzec (2), Jamie Cross, Ben Dixon and Rio Nicolaou. 19 goals and 3 clean sheets in 3 games for Frinton, they go top!
Kelvedon Social Reserves & Gosfield United Reserves shared the points in Feering. A 1-1 draw. Daniel Sadler on target for the hosts while Will Drew netted for the visitors. Both stay unbeaten, Kelvedon in 7th, Gosfield in 2nd.
Stillwaters got back to winning ways with a 4-1 win away at Parkeston Welfare. Goals Segun Baker (2) and Santigie Kama (2). Good win for Stillwaters which puts them in 4th place while Welfare stay bottom.
Ramsey & Mistley Reserves continued their unbeaten start with a 6-1 win over Cavendish Reserves, goals from Jimmy Morrison (2), Gary Merchant (2) and Brian Seager (2). Ramsey move up to 3rd place while the Dishmen drop to 12th.
Mersea Island Reserves got back to winning ways with a 3-1 win away at Wethersfield, a hat trick from Dean Ager saw Mersea leave with all 3 points and move up to 6th place. Wethersfield stay in 15th.
