Hello and welcome to this week’s Essex Olympian League preview, looking at the action from the top tier all the way to from Senior Division Five plus all the Cup action, including a big programme of Essex Junior Cup action. Thanks for reading.

Saturday 12 October 2019 – League matches are 2.30pm KO

Premier Division

Bishop’s Stortford Swifts  v  Canning Town   | Silver Leys

Leigh Ramblers  v  Basildon Town   | Belfairs Park

Sungate  v  Harold Wood Athletic   | Ilford Wanderers RFC

Three Premier Division matches are set for this weekend. First, Bishop’s Stortford Swifts look to avert a recent loss or two as they entertain struggling Canning Town at Silver Leys. A win for the hosts could see them back in the top five, depending on other results.

Wayne Seal’s Leigh Ramblers welcome a Basildon Town side in decent form, having only lost two of their first six league games. Ramblers would go above Town if they win this encounter at Belfairs Park. Finally, Sungate welcome a Harold Wood Athletic side that is improving with wins in their last two games after a winless start to the campaign for Ath. The ‘Gate will be looking to get back to winning ways with only one win in their last four matches.

I'm a Mental Health survivor (been surviving for years) & campaigner. I also like Music & Sport. This blog is centred on all things Non-League Football, mainly Match Reports of matches I've seen (mainly Essex Senior League (ESL) but also other Leagues) though it also houses the regular round-up's of the ESL action plus the Essex Olympian League divisions regularly. It also has the odd post about the scary world that we're all in, talking from a Mental Health perspective. Thank you for reading.
