Round-up: Bostik Division North (Tues 25th Sept) [BLN 26.9.18]

Hello & welcome to another round of the Bostik North round-up with results from South Central and South East divisions, here on the blog. This article looks at the Tuesday night action which resulted in one manger departing. How did your side do?

Tuesday 25th September

Barking  0 – 1  Tilbury      | Mayesbrook Park  |  Att: 68

The Dockers pipped the Blues to claim the points at Mayesbrook. Tom Anderson’s 10th-minute goal was enough to claim the win for Joe Keith’s side.

Basildon Utd  2 – 1  Heybridge Swifts    | Gardiners Close  | Att:

The bees maintained their unbeaten run with a comeback win against Swifts. Joe Gardner [12′] put the visitors ahead though Bees defender Eljay Worrell levelled from the spot with five minutes to go until half-time. Worrelll then struck the winner seven minutes from time.

Sadly for the visitors, Swifts boss Jody Brown stepped down from his role shortly after the match.

Brentwood Town  1 – 1  Coggeshall Town  | Brentwood Arena  | Att: 92

The Blues’ search for a win goes on despite denying Cogg the win at Brentwood Arena. The visitors led through Aaron Condon [70′] though Luke Foster ensured Craig Shipman’s side shared the points with a leveller on 84 minutes.

Canvey Island  0 – 1  Great Wakering Rovers   | Park Lane | Att: 178

Wakering snared the win over local rivals Canvey at Park Lane. Billy Johnson’s solitary goal [16′] did the job for Gary Kimble’s side and gave them bragging rights over the Islanders.

Felixstowe & Walton Utd  1 – 3  Soham Town Rangers  | Dellwood Ave  | Att: 294

Soham got a much sought-after victory at Dellwood Avenue. Alfie Connor put Soham ahead on eight minutes though the hosts restored parity through Jack Ainsley’s spot-kick on 26 minutes. Robbie Mason’s side restored their advantage thanks to Joe Carden’s strike on 57 minutes. Sam Mulready secured the points with five minutes left.

Mildenhall Town 3 – 0  Dereham Town  | Recreation Way  |  Att: 195

The Hall overcame Dereham for the points at Recreation Way. Thomas Debenham’s opener [36′] was quickly added to by Abouhadje Kouassi three minutes later. Emmanuel Osei completed the scoring late on as the hosts had a night to build on.

Witham Town  1 – 2  Bury Town  | Spa Road  | Att: 82

A first-half display assisted Bury to victory at Witham. Kyran Clements [21′] and Ollie Hughes [35′] put the visitors in the driving seat though a penalty from Sam Ashford with 20 minutes to play gave the hosts hope but they could not rescue a point on this occasion.
