Hello & welcome to my semi-regular round-up of the action in the Essex Senior League this weekend. This week, Following the ESL action, there’s an extended results check from the Essex Olympian League (Premier Division – Senior Division 4)

Sawbridgeworth Town 1 – 3 Enfield 1893 | Venue: Crofters End | Att: 28
Enfield upset Sawbo with an excellent victory at Crofters. Ben Bradbury struck on 18 minutes to give strugglers Enfield the lead before Billy Skinner levelled for John Watters’ men on the half-hour. Bradbury grabbed his second just shy of the hour before Joe Johnson [73′] secured a much-needed win for Matt Hanning’s side.
Sporting Bengal Utd 2 – 3 Southend Manor

Manor edged Bengal to claim all three points at Mile End. Manor led through Rhys Fatt’s opener 20 minutes in before goalkeeper Klinton Makayabo found the net just a minute later. Steven Carvell [32′] halved the deficit for the hosts before Alfie Lindfield restored Manor’s two-goal cushion 20 minutes from time. Syed Tanvir Ahmed pulled another one back for the hosts five minutes later though Manor held on to claim an important victory.
Stansted 2 – 3 Clapton | Venue: Hargrave Park | Att: 122
Clapton powered to an important win in difficult conditions at Hargrave Park. The Tons led thanks to goals from Jay Morris [12′] and Dylan Ebengo [20′] before Ryan Ramsey struck for the Airportmen on the half-hour. Jeff Cobblah [63′] continued his scoring run to make it 1-3 though Julien Lloyd rounded out the scoring for the hosts two minutes from time.
Waltham Forest 1 – 1 FC Romania | Venue: Kitchener Road | Att: 30
Forest hit back to hold FC Romania at Kitchener Road. Vlad Sighiartau put the in-form visitors ahead seven minutes after the break. Elias Siligato struck [74′] to level things and it finished that way as FCR lost ground on rivals Great Wakering.
Woodford Town (2017) 5 – 2 Burnham Ramblers

Woodford weathered a Burnham comeback to secure a good victory at Goffs Lane. Gemal Nfodjo [2], De’Juane Taylor-Crossdale [2] and a super Andrea Montovani free-kick secured the win for Town, Karl Swanborough and Robert Bagnall scored the visitors’ goals in a seven-minute spell.
